Making money in any video game can be difficult, and Palia is no exception. Within this cozy MMO, you will need to collect items and sell them in order to make more money, which is then used to improve your house and buy even more things.

Whale of a Tale is a quest in Palia that tasks you with solving a whale-sized mystery. Here, you can learn how to fully complete this quest.
With all the items available in Palia, which ones should you sell? Here, we are going to take a look at some of the best items that you can sell while playing Palia. It's important to note that you can sell nearly everything, but these will just consist of items that will earn you the most amount of money.
This list is presented in no particular order.
7 Sernuk Antlers
Base Price | Gold Quality Price |
---|---|
43 Gold | 64 Gold |
Sernuk Antlers are a great item to sell if you are looking to make money while also gathering other helpful materials. As their name suggests, Sernuk Antlers come from Sernuk, which can be found nearly everywhere. These deer-like creatures drop their antlers, as well as hide and meat.
Every Sernuk that you take down isn't guaranteed to drop its horn, but if you go on a hunting spree, you can eventually build up a hefty supply of Sernuk Antlers that can be sold.
6 Bugs
There are a lot of bugs in Palia, but overall, you can sell pretty much all of them. Even if you want to hang on to the rarer bugs for decoration or gifts, you should definitely be selling common bugs that appear everywhere in the world, such as the Common Blue Butterfly.

If you are worried about selling important bugs, it's okay to hold on to them for a bit. With the amount of bugs in the world though, you can spend a few hours bug hunting, sell your haul, and make a ton of gold.
5 Tomatoes
Base Price | Gold Quality Price |
---|---|
23 Gold | 34 Gold |
The humble tomato; who knew this would be a great item to sell for money in Palia? At first glance, this may not seem like the best money maker. Seeds will cost you 80 gold, but the base selling price of a tomato is 23 gold.
Fortunately, tomatoes can be harvested multiple times. After the initial four days of growing time, the tomato plant can be harvested three more times (every two days). You will also get two or three tomatoes each harvest, boosting the money earned by selling them.
4 Shells
Base Price |
---|
12 Gold |
Shells can be found in Bahari Bay near the beachy areas of the map, as well as within shallow water. This item can respawn, allowing you to come back, collect more, and then sell them again. While they don't sell for the most, they are a great way to passively earn money while you are doing other things at the beach.
You will need shells for two quests (five for A Look to Dye For and one for Beauty in Unexpected Places), but aside from that, you can sell every shell you find to your heart's content.
3 Fish
Similar to bugs, you are safe to sell fish that you catch. This especially applies to any common fish that you catch. Remember, fish are quite plentiful, which means that you can continue fishing endlessly to collect a variety of fish types.

If you do want to keep fish on hand, we suggest keeping one or two of every type (preferably gold quality) and then selling the rest. This will allow you to have fish on hand when needed.
2 Carrots
Base Price | Gold Quality Price |
---|---|
23 Gold | 34 Gold |
If you don't have much money to begin with, selling carrots is the way to go. Carrot seeds will only cost you 15 gold, so even if you only harvest one carrot at base price, you are still turning a profit.
Thankfully, that won't happen. Upon harvest, you can earn two to three carrots. If all three are gold quality, you will make around 100 gold! With some rice planted nearby, which provides a boost to harvest quantity, you can rake in the gold.
1 Grilled Meat
Base Price | Gold Quality Price |
---|---|
26 Gold | 39 Gold |
Lastly, we have Grilled Meat. This is a simple dish that you can make at a campfire with either Chapaa or Sernuk meat. Both raw meats sell for the same amount of gold, so the choice is yours. If you were previously hunting Sernuk to sell their horns though, you may have a supply of Sernuk meat on hand.
Food can be eaten in Palia, but excess can be sold to make some money. Grilled Meat only takes 15 seconds to make at a campfire, which is a basic crafting station. Overall, you can make a bunch of Grilled Meat and then sell it all.
